PA Launches new eLearning Platform
Paramedics Australasia launches a new eLearning Platform for members. eLearning is designed to improve access for members to independent professional education opportunities that can be completed online at a time convenient to members. All topics are designed specifically for paramedics and provide extended information targeted to the profession.
As paramedic professionals it is essential that members maintain their skills through recognised education and development activities. Paramedics Australasia continues to support paramedic members by improving access through the eLearning platform.
eLearning currently includes six topics with additional topics to be introduced as they are developed. The topics currently available are:
- Dementia;
- Infection Control;
- Infectious Diseases;
- Stroke;
- National Registration and Paramedics;
- Journals and Weblinks from around the World.
Only Paramedics Australasia members have access to this new resource. Simply click on the eLearning link from the main website and log in using your member username and password. If you don’t know these details contact membership@paramedics.org.au to reset your username and/or password. Please ensure your details are correct in the Member system by accessing the Change Your Details link under Membership on the main page – this information will be used for your eLearning details.
All courses completed through eLearning can be used to support your application for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) through Paramedics Australasia. All members are enrolled in the CPD program – you simply have to submit evidence of development activities by 30th June each year to receive your certification. For more information see the CPD pages on the PA website.
